Under the auspices of the President of the University of Mosul Prof. Dr. Kossay Alahmady, and under the supervision and presence of the Secretary General of the University Libraries Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, the Central Library’s Continuing Education Division, in coordination with the Women’s Affairs Unit, hosted a Basic Education College’s workshop themed “Social Media Detrimental Impact on Family and Physical and Psychological Childhood Growth” at Ibn Khaldun Library Unit on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. The workshop was delivered by Asst. Lect. Kawkab Khalil Ebrahim, Teaching Methods, Department of Kindergartens, College of Basic Education, University of Mosul, and Ms. Rawa Asem, a Liaison Member of the University of Mosul Women’s Affairs Unit, Central Library. During the workshop, the risks of social media on the psychological and physical health of the family and the child in particular, and consequently on the development of society, were addressed.
