Under the auspices of the University of Mosul Rector Alibrahimi, and in cooperation with the Directorate General of the University of Mosul Libraries, and within the activities of the Continuing Education Courses Committee for the academic year 2024-2025, the Center for Mosul Studies organized the first scientific continuing education course themed “Documenting Footnotes in Text, Resources and References According to APA7 Style” at the Central Library on February 23-24, 2025. The course was delivered by Prof. Dr. Maysoon Thanoon Alabayachi, Oriental Studies Unit, College of Arts, and managed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Suhaib Hazem Alghadhanfari.

The course aimed to introduce the use of APA7 in academic studies and research. On day one, the course covered the method of documenting books and references of all types, whether jointly or individually authored, while the next day the method of documenting newspapers, manuscripts, documents, magazines, periodicals, bulletins, books, blogs, and websites was covered.
