Central Library

As part of the project to restore and develop the Central Library at the University of Mosul, a virtual meeting was held, bringing together the Director General of University of Mosul Libraries Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Jasim, Central Library’s division officials, the Library Development Project Manager Mr. Humam Talal, and UNESCO Capacity-Building Advisor Dr. Husam Alzalbani, to discuss the development of a comprehensive action plan to identify the Central Library’s needs, including specialized training to enhance the skills of library staff members and develop library services in line with the needs of library users. This plan also supports the digital transformation, achieves global quality standards, and keeps pace with modern technological developments, in light of the implementation of the automated catalog system and RFID technology to improve the efficiency of digital resource management and facilitate access to them. This will lead to the development of an integrated work environment and the realization of the Central Library’s vision of excellence and innovation.
