Central Library

As part of the Central Library’s restoration and development project of the University of Mosul, the library hosted a meeting that included the Secretary-General of the Library, the officials, of the divisions and the director of the project with the UNESCO capacity-building consultant, Dr.Hossam Al-Zalbani.
The meeting discussed the items of the library staff’s capacity building plan, which includes a series of specialized trainings aimed at boosting the technical skills and developing the services to keep abreast with the needs of the users and support the digital transformation and the application of international quality standards. The meeting also focused on the importance of keeping pace with the modern technical developments, especially in light of the adoption of the Koha automated index system and RFID technology, to improve the management of office containers and facilitate the access to digital resources. This meeting comes within the continuous efforts to improve the efficiency of staff and develop the environment of the work in the library in a way that enhances its vision towards the excellence and the innovation.
