Under the auspice of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision and presence of Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Jassim Muhammad, Secretary-General of the Mosul University Libraries, and in implementation of the Third National Plan for Woman, Peace and the Security, the Woman’s Affairs Committee, Continuing Education Unit / in the Central Library, and in cooperation with the Woman’s Affairs Unit / Presidency of the Mosul University, is holding a workshop entitled (The Digital Empowerment of Woman) The workshop was addressed by the teacher Dr. Ghada Abdel Kareem Abdel Aziz. The workshop was conducted and presented by Mrs. Rawaa Assem Nouri, Head of the Electronic Library. The workshop discussed the definition of the digital empowerment of woman, as it is a process that aims to provide women with the skills and knowledge necessary to use the technology effectively, which provides them with greater opportunities in education, work, entrepreneurship and the community participation, and helps achieving gender equality in the digital age The workshop concluded with several recommendations:
– Promoting woman’s digital skills.
– Providing job opportunities in the technology sector
– Providing a safe and respectful environment for woman online.
– Supporting initiatives aimed at increasing woman’s awareness of the importance of technology
– Providing appropriate training for woman in the digital field
– Encouraging participation in developing innovative digital solutions.
A certificate of participation will be given to the attendees.
