Central Library

In line with the directives of the University of Mosul in emphasizing the importance of enhancing the knowledge cooperation between the faculties and departments of the University of Mosul. A group of students and lecturers from the History Department at the College of Arts at the University of Mosul visited the Central Library accompanied by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hatem Fahd Hano Al-Taee, on Monday, November 17, 2025.
They were received by Dr. Mohammed Jassim Mohammed, Director of the Central Library, who took the delegation on a tour of the halls and units of the Central Library.

During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the development ongoing in the library units, including the maintenance and restoration unit for sources and manuscripts, the digitalization and archiving units, and halls for postgraduate studies, in addition to learning about modern RFID technologies used in organizing the borrowing movement and managing collections
progressively. Students were also introduced to cataloguing and archiving mechanisms, borrowing services, and modern systems used to organize resources and make them available to the scholars.
