Under the auspices of the Honorable President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Director of the University of Mosul Libraries, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Jassim Mohammed, the Continuing Education Division at the Central Library of the University of Mosul, in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning, organized an awareness lecture on Thursday morning, December 4, 2025, entitled “The Drug Problem: Causes and Mechanisms for Community Response.”
It was delivered by: Professor Dr. Harith Hazem Ayoub, Teacher Dr. Ahmed Yousef Ahmed, and Assistant Teacher Abdel Qader Ismaeel Khaleel, during which they addressed the dangers of the spread of drugs and the factors leading to their abuse, in addition to reviewing the soceital mechanisms that must be adopted to reduce this phenomenon and enhancing community awareness.

The session was conducted and presented by Ms. Saba Maad Ahmed, in the presence of a number of members staff of the Central Library.
This event is part of the awareness programs implemented by the University of Mosul which contributes to protecting society ,enhancing and spreading intellectual and health security among its various groups.
This lecture achieves (the third goal: good health and well-being, the fourth goal: good education.).
