Central Library

The Central Library at the University of Mosul received the Honorable President of the University, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, accompanied by a delegation from the management of the Ramada Hotel Group this morning, and they were received by Dr. Mohammed Jassim Hamad, Director-General of the University Libraries, on a field tour aimed at presenting the qualitative developments witnessed by the university in the field of infrastructure and scientific services
The delegation toured the sections and divisions of the Central Library, where they were briefed on the mechanisms of digital transformation, automation of the library services, electronic cataloguing systems, and self -borrowing, in addition to projects to digitize university theses and scientific sources in line with the university’s trends in the transformation towards a smart university.
The tour also included providing a briefing on the Unit for the Maintenance and Preservation of Rare Manuscripts and Documents and learning about the technical procedures adopted in restoring and protecting them in accordance
with modern scientific standards, which contributes to preserving the scientific and heritage memory of the university and the city
