Fulfilling the guidance of the University’s Rector Prof. Dr. Kossay Al-Ahmady to find online alternatives to continue the University work during the current curfew imposed to curb the spread of Novel Coronavirus Pandemic,Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, Secretary-General of the University Libraries, held an e-meeting with the officials of the divisions and non-division units of the Central Library and Ibn Khaldun Library on Thursday, 26 March 2020, to discuss the optimum ways of achieving the University vision. After praising the staff’s exerted efforts and conveying the University directions to use the digital space optimally, Mr. Sayf was briefed on the working papers delivered by the officials. A detailed discussion was made to seek solutions for the suspension of work at the Library during the current and future periods through coordination and cooperation among the staff members and to develop an alternative continuity action plan to overcome the obstacles caused by the virus spread. At the end of the meeting, the Secretary-General agreed with the officials present on the necessity of maintaining an e-communication to implement the agreed workplan items. Last but not least, he prayed God to grant all the Iraqis and all the humanity health, safety, progress and prosperity
