Honor before obeying the law

A phrase that (Antigone) shouted at the face of the dictator (Creon), expressing the rejection of the authority of injustice and the injustice of power. This theme was an inspiration for me to perform a dramatic theatrical performance, the events of which were performed by a group of my students who love drama at Da Vinci International School in Duhok. The spark of this incident originated from the edifice of science, thought, culture, literature and art, the central library of the University of Mosul, where (Sophocles) and his timeless theatrical works reside. Among those works is (Antigone) which I found an opportunity for while I was roaming the sections of the library to land in my hands. I embraced its pages and embody its fragrance mixed with the one of the corridors of the library, then let us announce (me and Antigone) our desire to meet the elite of connoisseurs and fans of the art of theater. So it was successfully performed, and Antigone shouted “No” to injustice. The audience interacted with it incredibly and they applauded and applauded, the signs of joy revived my students and me as well. Thank you, Sophocles, thanks to the Central Library for my inspiration in my artistic career, you will remain as the place of creativity.‏Mutaz Waad Al-qawass#Library_in_a_Story#Central_Library
