Ending the Training Course on the Auxiliary Tables in the Dewey Decimal Classification System.

Under the auspices of Rector Kossay Kamaluddin Al-Ahmady and the supervision of the Secretary-General of the University Libraries Sayf Mohammed Dhiya Al-Ashqar, a three-day online training course entitled (DDC’s Auxiliary Tables and How to Link them to the Main Tables) was organized by the Continuing Education Division at the Central Library on Google Meet Platform from 8th to 10th of March, 2021, and delivered by Asst. Prof. Rafal Nizar Abdulkader, Information and Libraries Department, College of Arts, with the electronic and administrative assistance by Dr. Ghada Abdulkarim and Asst. Lect. Zina Tarek. On the first day, definition, features and rules of the Dewey Decimal Classification System were discussed with practical application. On the second day, formation and installation of numbers were explained through the notes contained in the main and auxiliary tables in the Dewey Decimal Classification System. The course ended on the third day with an online exam for the course participants who were provided with participation and examination passing certificates.
