Central Library Completes a Training Course on (The Role of Information Technology in University Libraries)

Within the Continuing Education Division’s activities, the Central Library conducted a three-day training course on (The Role of Information Technology in University Libraries) in Ibn Khaldun Library on July 11-13, 2021. The Secretary-General of the University Libraries, Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, and Asst. Lect. Zina Tareq delivered the lectures of the course, focusing on the importance of information technology in human life, especially in the field of libraries, and explaining thoroughly its structure, general and basic characteristics, as well as the qualifications of librarians and their roles in transferring it. Furthermore, the course discussed the role Internet in exchanging and accessing information, management information systems in libraries and university information centers and types of electronic information services in university libraries. The course was completed on third day with an exam for the course attendees who were given participation and examination passing certificates.
