Central Library

The Secretary General of the University Libraries, Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, received Mr. Feras Deep, Project Manager of Dutch SPARK NGO in Iraq, and Dr. Najib Toma, Assistant Rector of Erbil Polytechnic University (EPU), who visited the Central Library after participating in the Student Sustainable Development Conference held by the University of Mosul in cooperation with the German TU Dortmund and Austrian TU Graz. After taking them in a tour in the recently reconstructed Central Library and briefing them on the local, regional and international relentless efforts made to restore it after the unprecedented and deliberate destruction and sabotage by terrorist ISIS, the visitors expressed their wishes for a bright future for the Central Library that befits its reputation as one of the most important scientific and cultural academic edifices in Iraq.
