Central Library

Based on the essential goal of the University of Mosul to rehabilitate its libraries as key elements of education and scientific and cultural researches, Prof. Dr. Kossay Al-Ahmady, President, University of Mosul, inaugurated Ibn Khaldun in the university second campus on Thursday, October 17, 2019. The opening preparations were supervised by Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, Secretary-General of the Libraries, University of Mosul. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mr. Jim, UNDP official in charge of the university projects, number of college deans, the Director of the Department of Reconstruction and Projects and the Director of the French-Iraqi Cultural Institute in Mosul. The University President and his guests took a look at a gallery showing the stages of the library reconstruction and the first display of a video called (The Library Identity) has been presented to them. The library opening was a step that confirmed the university’s determination to keep progressing, overcoming constraints and restoring its bright face.
