The Secretary-General Chairs a Meeting for the Chief Librarians of University’s Branch Libraries

Out of concern for activating the policy of continuous development of the University’s technical staff and the adoption of the principle of joint work under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Kossay Al-Ahmady, President of the University of Mosul, Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, Secretary-General of the University Libraries, chaired an extended meeting for the chief librarians of the University branch libraries at the alternative location of the Central Library at the alternative site of the Central Library on Monday, 30/12/2019. The meeting was to discuss the technical workflow plan in libraries to unify the technical procedures and the services for the users in all the University libraries and to undertake the task of adopting a unified database according to the applicable Access program in the Central Library. The meeting was also attended by Ms. Rawaa Salahuddin, Lecturer, and Ms. Shatha Ahmed, Official of the Technical Procedures Division, who presented power point slides, which included an explanation of the most important technical and user services procedures that should be taken into consideration in the woke in all the University libraries. The discussion also took up what was done during 2019 and the action plans in 2020 and the adoption of the unified electronic entry. Relevant topics were presented through the deliberations and all the raised queries were answered by the Secretary-General who concluded the meeting by calling for the need to continue joint cooperation and coordination between the General Secretariat of the University Libraries and the librarians of the sub-libraries to ensure the advancement of the University libraries and provide the best services for the students and researchers at the University, wishing them that the year 2020 will be the year of distinguishing achievements for Iraq and Mosul as well as for the University and the General Secretariat of the University Libraries
