Regional Studies Center held a seminar entitled (Iranian foreign policy orientations towards the Arab region in the African continent) by Dr. Mohammad Abdul-Rahman Al-Obaidy, in the presence of researchers of the Center on Wednesday, 18 September 2019.The researcher pointed out that his research sheds light on the nature of the Iranian foreign policy towards the Arab region in the African continent after the Iranian revolution in 1979 and the main principles adopted by it. The research included three sections that dealt with the beginning of Iranian interest in the Arab-African region before and after 1979. The second section involved the main pillars of the Iranian foreign policy towards the African region, which included political, economic, intellectual, security and military bases. The third topic covered the obstacles of Iranian policy towards the Arab-African region. The researcher also referred to the factors that caused the Iranian policy on the African continent to be limited and neutralized. There have been extensive discussions on the subject by the researchers of the Center contributed to enrich and evaluate the research.
