Regional Studies Center held a seminar entitled (Contemporary Developments of Iran-Russia Relations) by Dr. Abdul-Razzaq Khalaf Mohammad Al-Taee, a lecturer and researcher at the Department of Political and Strategic Studies, in the presence of the Center’s researchers on Wednesday, July 8, 2020.Al-Ta’ie explained that the Iranian-Russian relations witnessed clear developments in the political, military, and technical fields for more than a decade. The most important achievement was the support of the Syrian regime during this time, as the Iranian-Russian cooperation on the regional scene in light of the Syrian crisis was the most prominent manifestation of the development of relations between the two parties.He added that the research aims to achieve many goals, perhaps the most significant of them: is to identify the frameworks of political relations, areas of military and technical cooperation, the most prominent areas of cooperation, and competition on the Syrian scene. Then coming up with research results and present them to those interested in international and regional affairs.
