Regional Studies Center held a seminar entitled “Reforming the Algerian Scientific Research System under the President Abdelaziz Bouteflika” (1999-2019) by Dr. Kifah Abbas Ramadan Al-Hamdani, the teacher and researcher at the Department of Historical and Cultural Studies, in the presence of the Center’s researchers, on Wednesday, October 28, 2020.Al-Hamdani said that the research was divided into three topics. The first one included reforming the Algerian scientific research system during the era of President Abdelaziz Bouteflika. The second topic dealt with obstacles to reforming the Algerian scientific research system. As for the third topic, it covered the requirements for advancing the reality of Algerian scientific research.The researcher added that the aim of the research is to highlight the role of Algeria, as it is among the Arab countries that have paid great attention to scientific research in recent years, to cope with the great delay in this regard. Therefore, a strategy for scientific research was established to develop and advance it to keep pace with the global developments taking place in this field.
