Regional Studies Center Holds a Seminar on Problems of Immigrant Integration in Europe
Regional Studies Center held a seminar by Dr. “Amira Ismail Al-Obaidi” entitled “The Problems of Immigrant Integration in Europe – Selected Samples” in the presence of the Center’s researchers, on September 19, 2022.
Al-Obaidi pointed out that the study aimed to highlight the issue of integration concerning immigration and the failure of some immigrants to assimilate, coexist, and adapt to the new environment; due to the increasing importance of immigrant integration in Germany in particular and Europe in general, with the recent arrival of hundreds of thousands of them to escape from wars and crises in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, and other countries.
The “researcher” added that the study included the following: First: a historical overview of immigrants in Europe. Second: a map of the distribution of immigrants in Europe. Third: The role of immigrants in Europe from the political, economic, and social points of view. Fourth: The integration policy pursued by the countries receiving immigration and its effects on immigrants. The study ended with basic recommendations and a conclusion that summarized the subject of the study.
