Regional Studies Center Holds a Training Course for Graduate Students on Theses and Dissertations Writing in Modern and Contemporary History
Regional Studies Center held a training course for graduate students entitled “Principles of Writing Theses and Dissertations in Modern and Contemporary History for Graduate Students”, on October 16-17, 2024.
The training course aimed to support new researchers in building their academic capabilities, which contributes to achieving in-depth and solid historical studies.
The first day of the course witnessed the presentation of a lecture entitled “Optimal Dealing with Sources” presented by Prof. Dr. Mithaq Khairallah Jallud, Director of the Center, followed by a second lecture entitled “Writing the Introduction to Theses and Dissertations” presented by Assist. Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Khalaf Muhammad. The course activities continued on its second day, where Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abdul Rahman Younis gave the first lecture entitled “Writing the conclusion and the method of including sources in master’s theses and doctoral dissertations in a scientific academic style,” while the second lecture was given by Assist. Prof. Dr. Faris Turki Mahmood and was entitled “Scientific research and incorrect thinking mechanisms”.
