Regional Studies Center

Faculty members of Regional Studies Center at the University of Mosul paid a field visit to the office of the High Commission for Human Rights in Nineveh on Thursday, February 27, 2025. The visit aimed at enhancing cooperation between the center and the OHCHR in the fields of research and training related to human rights, in addition to reviewing the most prominent activities and programs implemented by the OHCHR in the governorate.

The visit included an introductory tour of the various sections of the office, where the participants listened to a detailed explanation of the efforts made to promote and protect human rights in Nineveh, including legal and psychological support programs for the most affected groups. They also discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two institutions to contribute to spreading the culture of human rights and promoting awareness in the governorate.
