Regional Studies Center Holds a Scientific Lecture on the Importance of Spreading the Culture of Citizenship
Regional Studies Center at the University of Mosul organized a scientific lecture entitled “The importance of spreading the culture of citizenship and its role in promoting the concept of moderation and consolidating peaceful coexistence,” presented by Assist. Prof. Dr. Faris Turki Mahmood on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.
The lecture aimed to highlight the role of the culture of citizenship in promoting the concepts of moderation, as well as the necessity of spreading the values of peaceful coexistence among the various components of society. It also addressed the need to build bridges of trust between members of society, emphasizing the significance of coexistence in light of cultural and religious diversity.
The lecture focused on how to instill these values in future generations through educational curricula and community events. In conclusion, the importance of cooperation between all parties to overcome challenges and strengthen national unity by adhering to the values of citizenship was emphasized.
