A Lecture on the Principles of Administrative Drafting in Official Correspondence to Enhance Government Communication Efficiency

Mr. Mustafa A. Abdulwahab delivered a lecture titled “Principles of Administrative Drafting in Letters Used in Official Correspondence” on Sunday, August 3, 2025.
The lecture aimed to enhance employees’ skills in preparing and drafting official communications in a professional, accurate, and clear administrative style, in line with the requirements of modern institutional work.
During the session, the speaker outlined key principles that should be followed in drafting official documents, such as the logical sequencing of content, the use of concise and clear formal language, avoiding ambiguity and unnecessary length, and ensuring consistency in form and content according to prevailing administrative regulations. He also presented practical examples of common mistakes in official correspondence and how to correct them based on best administrative practices.
At the conclusion of the lecture, Mr. Mustafa A. Abdulwahab emphasized that mastering administrative drafting significantly contributes to the efficiency of institutional work and is directly aligned with Goal 4 of the Sustainable Development Goals: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
