A Lecture on Media and its Role in Raising Awareness and Developing Professional Behavior
The Regional Studies Center at the University of Mosul organized a scientific lecture titled “Media and Its Role in Raising Awareness and Developing Professional Behavior,” delivered by Mr. Nasir M. Abid on Sunday, August 10, 2025.
The lecture aimed to highlight the importance of media as an effective tool in shaping institutional and societal awareness, and its vital role in promoting positive professional behavior among employees in various sectors, particularly in both public and private work environments.
The lecturer explored modern media mechanisms and their ability to influence individual behavior, emphasizing the need for a conscious and educational media discourse that reinforces the values of integrity, transparency, and professional discipline. He also presented successful media experiences that contributed to motivating employees toward greater commitment and enhanced institutional performance. He stressed that responsible media can serve as a key partner in sustainable development by instilling concepts of citizenship and productivity.
This event aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 16, which focuses on “Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions,” by supporting good governance and promoting effective institutional behavior.
