Regional Studies Center Hosts a Lecture on How to Draft Official Letters

As part of its commitment to developing administrative and professional skills, Regional Studies Center organized a lecture on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, titled “How to Draft Official Letters”. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Waleed Salah Yaseen, Senior Director, with the participation of the Center’s administrative and staff members.

The lecture aimed to strengthen employees’ abilities in drafting official correspondence with precision and professionalism, in line with applicable laws and administrative regulations, while also contributing to improved institutional performance. It further highlighted the importance of clarity in language, standardization of official formats, and adherence to legal and procedural rules that ensure effective institutional work.

The lecturer addressed several key themes, including the principles of proper administrative writing, the role of official correspondence in streamlining workflow, and its impact on enhancing communication between institutions. He also discussed common mistakes in drafting official letters and how to correct them, presenting practical examples that enabled attendees to acquire applicable skills.

This event aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 on quality education, Goal 8 on decent work and economic growth, Goal 16 on effective and transparent institutions, and Goal 17, which promotes partnerships and the exchange of expertise.
