Regional Studies Center Professor Engages Youth with Lecture on Cultural Awareness
As part of the University of Mosul’s community service mission, Prof. Dr. Mithaq Khairallah Jalloud, a faculty member at the Regional Studies Center, gave a public cultural lecture titled “General Culture: Selected Concepts” to a group of young audiences at Al-Montaliq Private School on Thursday, October 2, 2025.
The lecture addressed a set of important intellectual themes, including the concept of culture, the crisis of the intellectual, collective consciousness, as well as the distinction between an intellectual and a specialist.
This activity came within the Regional Studies Center’ efforts to strengthen community engagement and promote cultural and intellectual awareness among young people, viewing them as the cornerstone for building the future.
