Regional Studies Center Holds a Scientific Seminar on Iraq and the Sharm El-Sheikh Conference 2025

The Regional Studies Center at the University of Mosul organized a scientific seminar titled “Iraq and the Sharm El-Sheikh Conference 2025: A Reading of Role and Impact” as part of its ongoing efforts to follow regional developments and Iraq’s role in international forums. The event took place on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
A distinguished group of the Center’s faculty members participated in the seminar, presenting research papers that examined various dimensions of the conference from multiple perspectives. The presentations were as follows:

The seminar featured fruitful discussions on the nature of Iraq’s participation in the conference, its potential implications for Iraq’s regional stance, and the lessons that can be drawn from international experiences in addressing political and economic challenges.
The event concluded with recommendations emphasizing the importance of strengthening Iraq’s presence in regional and international conferences in a way that serves national interests and enhances the country’s standing in the region.
