Regional Studies Center

An employee of the Regional Studies Center, Senior Manager Walid Salah Yaseen, participated in the training course organized by the Presidency of the University of Mosul / Studies and Planning Division / Sustainable Development Unit, in cooperation with the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences at the College of Education for Human Sciences, entitled “Technology Incubators and Business Management,” held from 14–18 December 2025.

The course covered the establishment and management of business incubators, start-up management, innovation support, and partnership building. The aim was to develop the university business environment, link scientific research to the job market, and enable students and researchers to transform their ideas into sustainable projects that support the knowledge economy.

This participation aligns with the comprehensive Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 1–17), with particular emphasis on Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

The participation represents a practical step toward enhancing the integration of academic research with the requirements of sustainable development and the knowledge economy, in support of the University of Mosul’s vision to promote innovation and entrepreneurship.
