Regional Studies Center at the University of Mosul attended the launch ceremony of the voluntary “Bridge of Mercy” project, initiated by the University of Mosul on Saturday, 20 December 2025, the village of Batnaya in the Tel Kef district. The event was held under the supervision and in the presence of the University President, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, with the participation of university leaders, representatives of the local government, and officials from governmental and religious institutions in the district.

The Center’s participation came through its official presence and the provision of moral and organizational support to the initiative’s participants, reaffirming its commitment to backing humanitarian and community-oriented activities adopted by the university, and to strengthening the spirit of solidarity and cooperation among academic institutions in serving the community of Nineveh Governorate.

The “Bridge of Mercy” project is one of the university’s voluntary initiatives aimed at building bridges of communication between the university and the local community and promoting the values of compassion and humanitarian work. Organizers emphasized that the project will become a sustainable annual tradition, reflecting the University of Mosul’s commitment to social responsibility and its national role in supporting stability and serving all segments of society.
