The Regional Studies Center/Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Presidency of the Mosul University/Studies and Planning Department/Sustainable Development Unit, held a scientific workshop titled “Mechanism for Filling and Documenting the Annual Performance Evaluation Form for the Academic Year 2024–2025” on Sunday, September 28, 2025. The workshop was delivered by Prof. Dr. Mohammad A. Al-Obaidi, Head of the Studies and Planning Unit at the Center.

The workshop aimed to clarify the practical steps for completing the university performance evaluation form in a way that ensures accuracy of information and transparency in documentation. It also sought to enhance faculty members’ and researchers’ understanding of the adopted evaluation mechanisms, highlighting their role as a fundamental tool for improving the quality of education and scientific research.

During the session, the speaker reviewed the key evaluation standards and explained how performance indicators can be linked to the strategic plans of both the center and the university. He also addressed the challenges staff may face in the documentation process, offering practical solutions that contribute to building a reliable database, facilitating monitoring and review. The workshop witnessed active engagement from participants, with discussions focusing on best practices in academic evaluation.

The workshop concluded by emphasizing that evaluation based on clear standards aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 on Quality Education, Goal 8 on Decent Work and Economic Growth, Goal 9 on Innovation, and Goal 16 on promoting transparency and building strong institutions.
