Under the generous patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and with the diligent follow-up of the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, Professor Dr. Taha Hammad Mukhlif, the Department of Scientific Affairs at the University Presidency organized a specialized scientific workshop on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, entitled: “Scientific Publication Strategies in Reputable Repositories: Journal Evaluation Criteria and Mechanisms for Selecting the Appropriate Journal for Researchers.” The workshop was held in the hall of the College of Islamic Sciences.

The workshop featured valuable introductory lectures presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Faten Aziz Al-Ani, Head of the Scientific Research Support Unit, and Engineer Hassan Basil Yousef from the Department of Scientific Affairs.

The workshop was attended by the Vice Deans for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, the Heads of Departments, and a number of faculty members. This initiative comes within the framework of the University’s ongoing efforts to remove obstacles facing researchers, wishing everyone continued excellence and advancement in the field of scientific research across all disciplines.
