The College of Tourism Sciences holds a workshop on “sustainable tourism and its impact on promoting the tourism sector in Iraq”

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, the respected, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Tourism Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Bashar Hassan Yousef, the respected, the Faculty of Tourism Sciences held on Tuesday
evening 2/2/2021 Its scientific workshop titled “Sustainable Tourism and its Impact on Enhancing the
Tourism Sector in Iraq”
The workshop was part of the college’s annual scientific plan in the field of seminars and workshops, and two scientific lectures were held, the first was prepared by Dr. Manal Abdel-Jabbar AlSammak, head of the hotel management department, while the second was Mrs. Heba Khaled Bakr, a teacher in the same department, and the workshop was attended by many academics and those interested in tourism and left The workshop included a set of ideas crystallized through an exchange of views among the participants, the most important of which was inviting the concerned authorities to pay attention to the destroyed tourist sites and finding effective solutions for them to preserve their cultural, civilizational and historical characteristics as well as religious, and it called for intensifying efforts to rehabilitate some of them, clean others and benefit from international experiences, especially German And Japanese ones.
