On Thursday, November 14, 2024, Asst.prof.Dr. Mohammed Naif Mahmoud, Dean of the College of Tourism Sciences, welcomed Sheikh Rami Al-Abadi, Director of the Office for Combating Intellectual Terrorism in Nineveh, along with his accompanying delegation. The Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, ِAsst. Prof.Dr. Manal Raft Khaled and Dr. Asan Hashem Hamdoun, Head of the Department of Tourism Studies, attended the meeting.

The meeting focused on potential collaboration in organizing workshops and seminars on tourism’s role in combating intellectual extremism and terrorism, promoting community awareness, and spreading a culture of moderation. Sheikh Al-Abadi expressed his willingness to support the college’s academic and cultural activities, praising academic institutions’ efforts in serving the community and promoting intellectual and social stability.
