College of Tourism Sciences

The College of Tourism Sciences held a scientific workshop titled “Encouraging the Publication of Research in Scopus-Indexed Journals” on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Rasha Khalid Sabri and Mr. Hassan Basel Youssef from the Scientific Affairs Department at the University of Mosul.

The college Dean, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Naif Mahmoud, the Associate Dean for scientific affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Manal Raafat Khalid, and several faculty members were among those present.

The workshop aimed to promote a culture of research, emphasizing the importance of publishing in Scopus-indexed journals, which are critical for evaluating academic quality. Discussions focused on motivating researchers, guiding them on submission processes, and selecting appropriate journals, thereby fostering academic knowledge development within the university.
