College of Tourism Sciences

The Scientific Promotions Committee at the College of Tourism Sciences held its meeting on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Luqman Mohammed Ayoub Al-Dabbagh from the Accounting Department at the College of Administration and Economics. The meeting was attended by the head of the Scientific Promotions Unit in the college, Lecturer Ghaidaa Mohammed Nafi, along with the following committee members:

• Asst. Prof. Dr. Uday Salem Ali – College of Administration and Economics
• Asst. Prof. Dr. Ashti Abdul Sattar Abdul Ghani – College of Administration and Economics
• Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Talal Khudhur – College of Education for Humanities
• Asst. Prof. Dr. Hani Abdul Ghani Abdullah – College of Archaeology

The meeting aimed to discuss ministerial laws and regulations concerning scientific promotions, in addition to reviewing updates related to promotion instructions and the progress of promotion applications within the college. Furthermore, the committee deliberated on the possibility of organizing a future workshop on “Scientific Promotion.”

This meeting aligns with the directives issued by the University president, which emphasize enhancing the academic standing and credibility of the University of Mosul in accordance with the ministry’s guidelines.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Dean of the College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Naif Mahmoud, welcomed the committee members, expressing his appreciation for their efforts in facilitating the promotion processes for the college’s faculty members.
