College of Tourism Sciences

Under the guidance of the Dean of the College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Naif Mahmoud, the Hospitality Studies Department, organized an awareness workshop for college students titled “The Impact of Digital and Traditional Drugs on Society and Ways to Handle Addicts.” The workshop was held on Sunday, February 9, 2025, and was presented by Asst. Lecturer Hiba Khalid Bakr and Asst. Lecturer Rana Khair Al-Din.

The event was attended by the College dean, the scientific assistant, and the Head of the Tourism Studies Department, as well as the students.

The workshop aimed to raise awareness, educate students, and disseminate information about the dangers of both digital and traditional drugs and their negative effects on society, particularly on youth. Additionally, it focused on prevention methods and provided students with knowledge on how to combat this growing issue.
