Scientific Workshop on Reputation Management in Tourism Companies and Hotels

Under the guidance of the Dean of the College of Tourism Sciences, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Nayef Mahmoud, the Career Development, Employment, and Follow-up Unit at the college, in cooperation with the Presidency of the University of Mosul / Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit, organized a scientific workshop titled “Reputation Management in Tourism Companies and Hotels” on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, with the participation of many college students.
The workshop featured a lecture delivered by Asst. Lecturer Zahraa Abdulghani Mustafa from the Department of Hotel Studies emphasised the importance of reputation management as a key factor in the success of tourism companies and hotels, particularly in an increasingly competitive market with rising customer expectations.
This workshop is aligned with the National Strategy for Education (2023–2031), which aims to enhance students’ specialised skills in accordance with modern labour market requirements. The workshop also aims to develop participants’ managerial competencies and enhance their ability to cope with the rapid challenges and ongoing developments in the tourism and hospitality sector.
This activity aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals, including Goal 4 (Quality Education) by enhancing professional learning, Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by developing future workforce skills, Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) through promoting institutional development in the tourism sector, and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through active cooperation with the Sustainable Development Unit.
