College of Tourism Sciences Holds a Scientific Workshop in Cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Naif Mahmoud, Dean of the College of Tourism Sciences, and in collaboration with the Women’s Affairs Unit and the Directorate of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit at the University Presidency, the College of Tourism Sciences organized a scientific workshop titled “The Art of Family Leadership for Building a Successful and Balanced Household,” presented by Dr. Asan Hashim Hamdoon on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.
The workshop aimed to highlight the role of family leadership in promoting harmony and balance within the household, and how leadership principles can be applied to improve relationships among family members. It also addressed practical methods for creating a healthy family environment that enhances communication skills, decision-making, and emotional stability, contributing to stronger and more resilient families.
The event was attended by the Dean of the College, along with several staff members, whose active participation and insightful contributions enriched the workshop’s discussions.
This workshop aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), Goal 4 (Quality Education), and Goal 5 (Gender Equality), as it supports strengthening family awareness and fostering stable, balanced communities.
