Awareness Lecture Entitled: Personal Development and Human Rights

As part of the awareness activities aimed at enhancing cultural and professional consciousness, an awareness lecture titled “Personal Development and Human Rights” was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Siba Salem Sheet for the staff of the College of Tourism Sciences. The lecture covered various topics related to the concept of personal development, its importance in building self-capabilities and improving the work environment, as well as shedding light on the principles of human rights and their impact on professional and academic relationships. The session also witnessed active engagement from the attendees, who enriched the discussion with their questions and insights on the best strategies to reinforce these concepts within higher education institutions.
This activity comes within a series of awareness programs adopted by the college in its continuous efforts to develop and empower its administrative and academic staff, in alignment with Goal 4 (Quality Education), which emphasizes the importance of capacity-building in educational institutions, and in correspondence with Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by promoting human rights principles, fostering a work environment grounded in dignity, fairness, and responsibility, and supporting effective communication and professional relationships—thereby contributing to academic development and advancing sustainable growth within the university.
