College of Tourism Sciences Organizes a Workshop Titled “Professional Etiquette”

On Monday, June 16, 2025, the College of Tourism Sciences organized a distinguished workshop titled “Professional Etiquette”, in cooperation with the Presidency of the University of Mosul / Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit, as part of its ongoing programs aimed at developing professional competencies and enhancing institutional behavior among its staff.
The workshop was attended by the Dean of the College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Manal Rafat Khalid, along with active participation from several administrative and academic staff members.
The workshop was delivered by the certified etiquette and protocol trainer, Mr. Majdi Waad Abdul-Hadi, who presented a rich and insightful lecture covering fundamental concepts and essential professional behaviors required in both the tourism and administrative sectors. Mr. Majdi highlighted key topics such as professional appearance, etiquette of communication, techniques of effective interaction, and the proper handling of formal situations within the workplace.
At the end of the workshop, the Dean presented a letter of appreciation to Mr. Majdi in recognition of his valuable efforts and his outstanding contribution to delivering a high-quality workshop. She emphasized the importance of continuing such training activities, which play a significant role in improving professional performance.
This activity aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 5 (Gender Equality), Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), through strengthening academic collaboration and developing essential professional and educational capacities.
