College of Tourism Sciences Holds Its Regular Council Meeting

As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance academic quality and strengthen institutional performance, the College of Tourism Sciences held its regular council meeting on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. The meeting was chaired by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Manal Raafat Khalid, and attended by the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs and the heads of academic departments.

The Dean began the meeting with a welcoming address, expressing her appreciation for the significant efforts made by the teaching and administrative staff. She emphasized the importance of continued teamwork to achieve academic excellence and elevate the college’s standing.

The council discussed several key items on the agenda, including:

  • Encouraging faculty members to publish in accredited Scopus-indexed journals.
  • Forming various committees to support academic and administrative tasks within the college.
  • Technical and administrative preparations for effectively implementing the Bologna educational system, including forming dedicated follow-up committees.
  • Initiating planning and preparation for World Tourism Day activities.
  • Aligning academic and scientific activities with the Sustainable Development Goals.

This meeting reflects the College of Tourism Sciences’ commitment to advancing its academic and administrative performance under the latest approved systems and its dedication to fostering scientific openness.
