College of Tourism Sciences

As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance community awareness and empower women, the College of Tourism Sciences, in collaboration with the Women’s Affairs Unit at the University of Mosul, developed an electronic awareness poster that was displayed on the college’s digital screen. The poster aims to encourage women—particularly female students and staff—to update their voter registration cards and actively participate in the upcoming elections.

This initiative reflects the college’s commitment to supporting the role of women in political and social life, promoting the principles of citizenship and democratic participation, and thereby contributing to the creation of a more conscious and equitable society. The initiative aligns with Goal 5 (Gender Equality) by empowering women and enabling them to play a more significant role in decision-making. It aligns with Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by promoting electoral participation and fostering democratic engagement. This demonstrates the college’s dedication to fostering civic responsibility and contributing to the development of a proactive and sustainable society.
