The Council of the Department of Tourism Studies Holds Its First Meeting for the Academic Year 2025–2026.

The Council of the Department of Tourism Studies at the College of Tourism Sciences held its first meeting for the new academic year on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. Chaired by the department head, Professor Dr. Raed Amir Abdullah, the department rapporteur, who attended the meeting, Dr. Haitham Hussein Ahmed, and the esteemed faculty members.

The meeting commenced with an opening address by the Head of the Department, who welcomed the members, congratulated them on the beginning of the 2025–2026 academic year, and commended their continuous efforts in advancing the academic standing of the department. The agenda was then reviewed, and the most important directives issued by the College Council were discussed, which included:

  1. Commitment to official working hours.
  2. Strengthening collaborative work among faculty members to ensure coordinated efforts and achieve the department’s academic goals.
  3. Encouraging faculty members to organise specialised workshops and scientific seminars.
  4. Allocating courses to faculty members per their specialisations and the department’s plans for the new academic year.
  5. Emphasising completing senior students’ graduation research titles within the designated timelines.
  6. Encouraging faculty members to publish their research in journals indexed within Scopus.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Head of the Department expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the faculty members and wished them a successful and productive academic year.
