Students of the College of Tourism Sciences on a Scientific Visit to the Central Library and the International Book Forum and Exhibition at the University of Mosul

The College of Tourism Sciences organized a scientific visit for its students on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, to the Central Library and the International Book Forum and Exhibition held at the University of Mosul. The visit aimed to enhance students’ cultural and intellectual awareness and strengthen their connection with diverse sources of knowledge.

During the visit—accompanied by a group of the college’s faculty members—the students were introduced to the book borrowing system and the various resources available at the Central Library. Ms. Rana Ghanem Ismail, Head of the Beneficiary Services Division at the Central Library, gave a detailed explanation of the nature of the services provided and the mechanisms for utilizing both print and electronic resources.

The students also toured the halls of the International Book Forum and Exhibition, where they explored the latest publications and releases from local and Arab publishing houses. The experience provided them with a valuable opportunity to enrich their academic and research culture.

This activity supports Goal 4 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — Quality Education — by encouraging students to develop their research skills and benefit from the wide range of available knowledge resources.
