Workshop on Quality Fundamentals and Achieving Efficiency in Academic and Administrative Work at the College of Tourism Sciences

In line with the directives of the Presidency of the University of Mosul to enhance institutional performance, the College of Tourism Sciences organised a workshop on Sunday, 16 November 2025, entitled “Quality Fundamentals and Achieving Efficiency in Academic and Administrative Work.” The workshop was supervised by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr Manal Raafat Khalid. It was jointly organised by the College’s Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Unit, in cooperation with the Presidency of the University of Mosul / Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit.
This workshop comes as part of the activities of the Industrial Advisory Boards, which aim to align educational outcomes with labor market needs and to improve institutional performance.
The workshop was presented by Mr. Saad Moayad, Head of the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Unit, and Ms. Dunia Khalid, Head of the Sustainable Development Unit. The workshop highlighted key topics including the principles of total quality management, the requirements for achieving efficiency in academic and administrative work, and the importance of continuous evaluation in improving performance and raising the quality of educational and administrative services.
The organization of this workshop aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) pursued by the university, including Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). This reflects the College’s commitment to enhancing academic and administrative performance in accordance with an advanced national and global vision that supports the quality and sustainability of education.
