The Department of Tourism Studies Organizes a Workshop Entitled “First Aid”
Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Tourism Sciences, Prof. Dr. Manal Raafat Khalid, the Department of Tourism Studies, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit, and the Department of Planning and Studies \Sustainable Development Unit in Presidency of the University of Mosul, organised a workshop entitled “First Aid”, presented by Prof. Dr Alaa Abdullah Hussein on Tuesday, 17 November 2025.
This activity comes as part of the College of Tourism Sciences’ efforts to enhance health awareness and essential life skills among students and staff, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), Goal 4 (Quality Education), and Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
First aid lectures play a crucial role in empowering individuals to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, thereby reducing complications and saving lives. They also foster a culture of prevention and social responsibility, contributing to the creation of a more informed and prepared university environment that is better equipped to handle emergencies.
