The Dean’s Speech

May the peace, blessings, and mercy of God be upon you.

The two immortal rivers, the Tigris and the Euphrates flow into Iraq, the land of civilization and history from which Babylonian and Assyria’s civilizations emerged. Its picturesque mountains and wonderful marshes tell the story of beauty. Its land, including the prophets, saints, and righteous shrines, made Iraq a tourist destination and the world’s most important tourist country.

Tourism contributes to economic and social progress and development, and based on the fact that tourism today is an advanced industry in all countries of the world, the College of Tourism Sciences was established at the University of Mosul with great support from the Ministry of Higher Education and the Presidency of the University of Mosul, as the academic year 2018-2019 was the first academic year The college graduated the first batch during the academic year 2012-2022.

The College of Tourism Sciences works to graduate a generation equipped with experience, scientific and practical competence, and the necessary skills to work in tourism and hotel establishments in Iraq to advance the tourism reality and develop tourism.
