An Educational Workshop at the College of Tourism Sciences on Work-Life Balance

Under the guidance of the Dean of the College of Tourism Sciences, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Naif Mahmood, and in cooperation with the University Presidency / Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit, the Career Development, Employment, and Follow-up Unit organized an educational workshop titled “Work–Life Balance” on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, with the participation of a group of students from the college.
The workshop featured a lecture delivered by Asst. Lecturer Hiba Khalid Bakr, the Rapporteur of the Department of Hotel Studies, in which she discussed the importance of achieving balance between professional and personal life, strategies for coping with work-related stress and its negative impact on mental and physical health, as well as a set of tips and techniques that support effective time management and personal planning to achieve a more balanced lifestyle.
This workshop reflects the college’s ongoing efforts to support students in various fields and to equip them with life skills that contribute to personal growth and greater readiness for the job market. The activity aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 5 (Gender Equality), Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities).
