College of Tourism Sciences Council Meeting

The regular session of the College of Tourism Sciences Council was held on Sunday, May 25, 2025, chaired by the Dean of the College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Manal Raafat Khalid, and attended by Mr. Zaid Raad Younis, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs; Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Talal Khudair, Head of the Department of Tourism Studies; Asst. Prof. Dr. Wissam Abdullah Hussein, Head of the Department of Hotel Studies, and Mr. Wissam Khalif Sultan, Head of the Financial Affairs Division.
The Dean opened the session by welcoming the attendees and commending the efforts of the council members in supporting the college’s academic and administrative progress.
Following the opening remarks, the council proceeded to discuss the following agenda items:
- Finalising and preparing the final grades and results.
- Emphasising the need to complete and regularly update the college’s official website, with follow-up by department heads.
- Discussing mechanisms to improve administrative and organisational performance within the departments.
- Documenting databases related to faculty members and scientific activities.
- Stressing the importance of publishing research in Scopus-indexed journals.
In conclusion, the council reaffirmed the importance of collective efforts across all college units to achieve the desired academic and administrative goals.
