The Dean of the College of Tourism Sciences, Professor Dr Manal Raafat Khalid, honoured Prof. Dr Alaa Abdullah Hussein, a faculty member in the Department of Tourism Studies, by presenting her with a Letter of Appreciation on the occasion of her victory in the short story competition category for her literary work addressing the human tragedies in Nineveh during the period of ISIS occupation. This recognition recognises her literary creativity and efforts in documenting the humanitarian suffering in the province.
